Warranty terms and conditions

MANUFACTURER’S PRODUCT WARRANTY

TERMS OF WARRANTY

1.             In the event of any defect becoming apparent in this product due to FAULTY MATERIAL within a period of 15* years from the date of original purchase, such defect will be rectified, without costs to you for material. (Installation not included).

2.             The date of original purchase and invoice/sales docket must be given to the manufacturer, along with photos of the faulty mesh, when a claim under this warranty is made.

3.             This warranty excludes:

(a)           any damage resulting from incorrect installation or use other than in accordance with the instructions issued by the manufacturer;

(b)           any bird, vermin, other animal or accidental human damage;

(c)           any damage or corrosion caused by hail, coal dust or electrolysis;

(d)           any overhanging trees, branches or sticks causing damage; and

(e)           any “tea staining” or rust staining as this is not a product fault; and

(f)            any consequential damage arising from (a), (b), (c), (d) or (e) above.  

4.             This warranty is rendered invalid if:

(a)           the product is installed by anyone other than a GutterMesh Licensed Installer;

(b)           the product is misused; or

(c)           any unauthorised alteration or modification is made to the product.

5.             The cost of transportation both ways to and from the manufacturer must be met by the purchaser if it is necessary to return or replace the product.

• This warranty only applies within Australia. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.  You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.   Except for non-excludable conditions or warranties implied by law, all conditions and warranties which might otherwise be implied in this transaction are hereby excluded and negated. 

*15 year warranty applies to stainless steel mesh for gutter guards.  All other mesh products for gutter guards have a 10 year warranty.  During the first 8 years of the warranty period (5 years for 10 year warranties), rectification will be by supply of product required to satisfactorily repair or supply of full replacement product whichever is applicable as determined by Gutter Mesh Trading Co. Pty Ltd (installation not included).  Thereafter, rectification will be by pro rata credit towards the cost of replacement product. (ie.  original value of product supplied (not including installation), divided by number of years on original warranty, multiplied by number of years remaining on warranty).
